Learning From My Gambling Blunders

[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]

1st to explain why I write this essay. I have been gambling online or at land based betting houses for a great many years. I have learned, the addiction can grab a hold of you and you will not even realize it up until you are penniless. Particularly if you are on a winning run. I have gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny period of time and to this day on occasion, I’ll go a bit too far. It appears you are just having a blast until you decide to be aware of your defeats and the guilt sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can earn it back" constantly. It doesn’t works. Then you become queasy in your gut and the more you attempt the quicker you are deprived.

When you notice that you’re up, remain on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, don’t tell yourself, "well perhaps just one more" and over and over again, trust me, this concept hardly ever operates. Say you are playing on slot games, have a bankroll put aside prior to beginning your action. DO NOT go over that boundary, no matter how alluring. If you happen to succeed, put that in a different cup. Don’t spend your successes no matter what. As soon as you have played through your original set limit, call it a day. Leave, whether it is on the internet or at a brick and mortar casino, don’t stay around. Always remember, there will be another day, a different time.

Remember, wagering is supposed to be FUN not exhausting, nauseating work! If you are not having fun yourself, you do not belong there. If youcannot manage the loss, do not even start.
