Another large Native American casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 one armed bandits, and fourteen table games. Also, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and four dining rooms. There are numerous other dominant Iowa gambling dens, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a riverboat gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend water based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa riverboat gambling den, The Isle of Capri, is available all day and night, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot riverboat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday vingt-et-un tournaments.
Iowa casinos present an awesome amount of tax money to the state of Iowa, which has enabled the bankrolling of many commonwealth wide projects. Tourism has increased at a rapid rate along with the demand for services and a gain in working people. Iowa casinos have been instrumental to the expansion of the market, and the affection for gaming in Iowa is across the board.
