The biggest of the Iowa gambling dens is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, a Native American casino in Tama, with 127,669 square feet of gaming area, 1,500 one armed bandits, 30 table games, like twenty-one, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous varieties of poker; as well as 3 restaurants, biweekly entertainment, and betting instructions. Another large American Indian gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 slots, and fourteen table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and four eatery’s. There are several other dominant Iowa gambling dens, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a water based gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend water based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. Another Iowa river based gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is available 24 hours, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. paddle wheel boat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday blackjack events.
Iowa casinos present an excellent amount of tax revenue to the state government of Iowa, which has permitted the funding of many commonwealth wide activities. Tourism has gotten bigger at a rapid percentage along with the request for processors and a gain in employment. Iowa casinos have been instrumental to the advancement of the economy, and the enthusiasm for gaming in Iowa is across the board.
